Born in London, raised in Hawaii, and castaway in Japan for a decade and change, you might say I was rock-hopping. Mellowing with age, I used to play a mean rock guitar. But there's something about wearing a suit to work everyday and teaching English - or performing weddings - that mellows the angst. Yikes! So this is what I couldn't understand a quarter century ago. Yet the creative muse still simmers below, steadily venting an original cocktail of fumes. Finding yourself in the plume you realize that you are cordially invited to linger for a time. Ruge!
